The exhibition “Dance Master” is timed to the 80th anniversary of the Igor Moiseyev State Academic Folk Dance Ensemble. It introduces visitors to the work of one of the brightest choreographers of the 20th century, Igor Moiseyev.
The exhibition will illustrate how the rhythm and pattern of Igor Moiseyev’s choreographic masterpieces were born from the events of the 20th century and what role they played in facilitating the dialogue within the country and on the international arena.
Visitors will see the original stage costumes presented to the dance company on its tours around Russia and its first tours abroad, as well as unpublished manuscripts of Boris Moiseyev and photographic materials.
The exhibition runs at the State Central Museum of Contemporary History of Russia at the address 21, Tverskaya Street, Moscow, from 30 November 2017 to 14 January 2018.
