A.V. Shchusev State Museum of Architecture, Moscow, presents the exhibition “Avant-garde Construction: The Architectural Rhythm of the Revolution”.
The exhibition will be held in the Anfilade of the Main Building from December 1, 2017 to April 1, 2018.
The architectural avant-garde was born in one pot with boiling artistic phenomena of the 1920s, including Malevich' Suprematism, Mayakovsky's poems and Meyerhold's innovative stage productions.
The bright era of the architectural avant-garde of the 1920s-1930s will be represented with works by outstanding Soviet architects and artists, such as the Vesnin brothers, Ivan Leonidov, Konstantin Melnikov, Nikolai Ladovsky, Moses Ginzburg, Ilya and Panteleimon Golosovy, Vladimir Krynsky, and many others.
