Aida Garifullina and Valery Gergiev's Orchestra Nominated for Grammy

The opera diva from the Tatarstan Republic of RF performed the part of the Shamakhan Queen for the recording of The Golden Cockerel opera by Rimsky-Korsakov.

      Singers Aida Garifullina, Andrei Serov and Vladimir Felwayer, producer Ilya Petrov and the Mariinsky Theater Orchestra under the conductorship of Valery Gergiev have been nominated for the Grammy Award 2018.

      This is reported on the site of the prestigious music award.

      The musicians won in the nomination The Best Opera Record for recording The Golden Cockerel by Rimsky-Korsakov. Traditionally, four recordings will compete with the team. The orchestra and soloists of The Metropolitan Opera are among the contestants.
