Russian Art Works Sold in London for $19 Million

The world’s biggest auction house, the Sotheby's, has managed to sell works of Russian art for 14.2 million pounds ($ 18.9 million) altogether.

      About 80 percent of all the lots at the Russian Art Week have been sold, as Kommersant reports today, November 29.

      In total, the Sotheby’s held three trading sessions on Tuesday, November 28, 2017. Paintings by Russian artists of the 18th – 19th centuries and works of art created in the Soviet era were offered.

      Portrait of Nadezhda Sapozhnikova by artist Nikolai Feshin was sold for 3.65 million pounds sterling ($ 4.9 million).
