New Year Preparations Started In Omsk

Preparations for the forthcoming celebration of New Year and Christmas continue in Omsk, as the Mayor’s Office said. In accordance with the plan of events approved by the city administration, it is planned to build a fairytale forest and a magic castle in the Park of Culture and Leisure dedicated to the 30th anniversary of All-Union Leninist Young Communist League.

The constructions will be made of ice and snow by December 23. The castle will have two levels. Its dimensions will make up 8.0 m * 8.0 m * 4.5 m. The sculpture will be decorated with towers and an original ornament. Ice fir-trees will “grow” near the castle. In addition, the guests of the park will be greeted by a dog – the symbol of 2018 by the eastern calendar, as well as by a bear and a hare. The main New Yea’s characters - Father Frost and Snow Maiden - will also be present there.
