Aeroflot and Japan Airlines Signed a Code-sharing Agreement

Aeroflot and Japanese carrier Japan Airlines (JAL) have agreed to conclude a code-sharing agreement that will allow conducting joint flights to Russia, Japan and other countries.

Code-sharing cooperation is planned to be implemented after 2018, according to Aeroflot.

The carriers also agreed to "jointly solve the tasks of granting privileges to frequently flying passengers, based at airports in Moscow and Tokyo."

Now Aeroflot carries out one daily flight from Moscow (Sheremetyevo) to Tokyo. JAL makes four flights a week from Tokyo to Moscow ("Domodedovo").
