Art festival "Russian Winter" is presenting the best Russian musicians at the Tchaikovsky Moscow Concert Hall from December 23 to 31.
The concert series will be opened by pianist Boris Berezovsky. On December 30, he will also appear on stage with the Russian National Orchestra under conductorship by Mikhail Pletnev.
Yuri Bashmet will take part in the festival both as a solo violist, and as the conductor of the State Symphony Orchestra "New Russia" and the chamber ensemble "Soloists of Moscow".
The 85 year-old conductor Vladimir Fedoseyev with the Tchaikovsky Grand Symphony Orchestra will perform the waltzes of Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Mikhail Glinka, Georgy Sviridov, Johann Strauss, Aram Khachaturian, and other composers.
"The Classics and Jazz" program will be presented by pianist Denis Matsuev, horn player Arkady Shilkloper, accordionist Aidar Gaynullin and the winners of the young talent contest "Blue Bird".
