Medals and certificates worth 300 thousand rubles were handed in by Nikita Mikhalkov to the winners.
Commemorative gold medals in honor of the poet, author of the texts of the hymns of the Soviet Union and the Russian Federation Sergei Mikhalkov (1913-2009) were presented on December 22 in Moscow during a solemn ceremony at the Foreign Ministry Reception House.
In 2017, the People's Artist of Russia, composer Eduard Artemyev, People's Artist of the USSR, film director Vladimir Naumov, and writer and screenwriter Viktoria Tokareva have become the medal winners. Memorable awards were given to the winners by the President of the Russian Culture Foundation, Nikita Mikhalkov.
The medal, established by the foundation in 2010, every two years is awarded to the national culture and public figures for humanistic contribution to the upbringing of the younger generation.
