More than 20 million of Russians have incomes below the minimum subsistence level and live below the poverty line. This was told by the Chairman of the Accounting Chamber Tatyana Golikova, as TASS reports.

“Now we record a sharp decline in the population’s incomes, although it is not as sharp as in previous periods, still 1.4 percent is a fairly high figure” - Golikova said, adding that the budget provides for the funds for raising real incomes of Russians.

Earlier, on December 22, the Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov stated that the incomes of Russians would be restored after the recession.
