The government will allocate additional 55 billion roubles to the regions for refinancing of their debts on budget loans. The decree concerning that has been published on the government website.

“This can be explained by the need to ensure the balance of budgets of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation and refinancing of the regions’ debt obligations” - the document says. In late November the government allocated 11.6 billion roubles to 23 regions of the country from the reserve fund for refinancing their expenditures, including wages to state workers.
