The Egyptian airline EgyptAir plans to carry out three weekly flights between Cairo and Moscow, the Egypt Today portal reported.
"Three scheduled flights will be operated from Cairo International Airport to Moscow on a weekly basis, starting February 1, 2018. The preliminarily agreed days are Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday," the message said.
According to the portal, in addition about 20 flights will be reserved by travel agencies for the flights of Egyptian fans to Russia during the World Cup.
The air communication between Russia and Egypt was closed in November 2015 after the crash of the Russian airline "Kogalymavia" over the Sinai peninsula as a result of the terrorist attack on board. Then all 217 passengers and seven crew members were killed.
