Ural Airlines Will Fly From Rostov-on-Don to Tel Aviv

Ural Airlines is launching a new flight Rostov-on-Don - Tel Aviv since March 28, the airline's press service reports.

The flight will be operated once a week on Wednesdays.

      Ural Airlines already conduct regular flights to Tel Aviv from Zhukovsky Airport, St. Petersburg, Samara, Ekaterinburg, Krasnodar, Mineralnye Vody and Sochi.

      "Ural Airlines" is in the top 5 Russian airlines in terms of traffic. The company is based in Yekaterinburg Koltsovo, Moscow's Domodedovo and Pulkovo in St. Petersburg. The largest shareholder of the company is its general director Sergey Skuratov. The company's fleet consists of 43 aircraft, all Airbus production (twenty-three A320, thirteen A321 and seven A319).


Rostov Region is world famous for its cultural and folk traditions. It is the region of vast spaces and mighty rivers, the place where the Don River flows into the Azov Sea. Its prominent history and folklore attracts tourists from all over the world. The Rostov Region is the native land of the famous Russian authors Anton Chekhov and Mikhail Sholokhov, the Noble Prize Winner.



The region's rich soil has given birth to some of Russia's finest vineyards, especially those producing sparkling wines. Rostov-on-Don, the capital of the Don region, serves as a base for excursions of historical interest, including several Old Don Cossack forts, the remains of a Genoese trading center and a 3rd century BC Greek colony. 


How to get there and away 




There are daily flights to Moscow (Vnukovo airport).




A fast train from Moscow’s Kursky station takes 23 hours. Some trains to/from Moscow go via Kharkiv (Ukraine). Rostov has a huge web of daily service to/from Astrakhan (24 hours), Volgograd (16 hours), and Sochi (14 hours).




There are occasional boats to/from Moscow via Volgograd in summer.
