The Russian capital has been visited by more than 21 million people in 2017, as Natalia Sergunina, the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations, said. “We expect that the revenues from tourism are going to grow in the coming years” - Sergunina told to  reporters on Sunday.

According to her evaluation, during the two weeks of work of the “Travel to Christmas” festival, the most popular goods were souvenirs, sweets and New Year’s tree decorations.

According to the Mayor’s Office, Moscow has strengthened its position in the tourist attraction ratings in recent years. In late November of last year Instagram called the capital of Russia one of the three most popular cities in the world in 2017.
