The tourist flow to the resorts of Karachaevo-Cherkessia increased by 20% in 2017 as compared to the previous year.

      "The flow of tourists to the republic is steadily growing: according to the results of 2016, for example, the figure was 1 million tourists, and by the end of 2017 - already 1.2 million people. With a population of half a million people in the republic, we consider that these are serious results," - said the head of the KCR Rashid Temrezov in an interview with the agency "Interfax-South".

      According to him, historically, the republic is represented in different segments of tourism, including the ski resorts - Dombay and Arkhyz, the balneological resort - Teberda, and  natural  resort -  "Honey waterfalls". "In general, the republic has the potential, which we regularly discuss at the level of the government  - to make tourism facilities in the republic year-round resorts," added Temrezov.
