Dog Sledding Race is Coming

 The “Big Tour” is being held for the sixth time in a row by the “Kulikovo Field” museum-reserve. It includes dog sledding. Dog sledding race is not only a sporting event, but also a very beautiful sight enjoyed by adults and children. The competitors of this year will be the owners of sled dogs from Tula, Moscow, Orel, Samara and other regions. Alaskan Malamutes, Greenlandic and Samoyed dogs, Siberian huskies will compete in different categories.

      The athletes will run 5 and 10-kilometer distances. The youngest participants aged 5-11 will be allocated their segment of the route making up 500 meters. The participants and spectators of the event will be able to see dog sledding, exhibition performances of working dogs, horse riding and sledding, a snow sculptures contest  as well as photo shoots taken with ponies and horses.
