The Inflation Rate Remains One of the Key Socio-economic Factors for Russians

The Minister of Economic Development Maksim Oreshkin does not think that a sharp rise in prices is possible in 2018. This was stated by the Minister at the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi.

In January the Ministry of Economic Development argued that inflation in 2018 would be below four percent in the absence of negative weather shocks. The inflation rate remains one of the key socio-economic factors for Russians. The importance of price growth was admitted by about 56 percent of Russians in February.
