Freudian Passions - Multimedia Exhibition in Moscow

How would have Sigmund Freud reacted if Rubens, Caravaggio, Goya and Klimt had become his patients?


Freudian Passions is the first multimedia project of Artplay Media that is dedicated to a big topic rather than a particular author. The exhibition tells about sensuality, winged sentiments and lust through paintings by Lucas Cranach, Sandro Botticelli, Michelangelo Buonarroti, Rembrandt, Titian, Caravaggio, Francisco Goya, Edvard Munch, Egon Schiele, Gustav Klimt and others. The famous artists’ canvases are interpreted from the point of view of psychoanalysis.


The multimedia exposition consists of seven novella sections: Intro, Innocence, Love, Violence, Flesh, Death and Sleep. The painting masterpieces are displayed on huge screens to the accompaniment of mighty modern music and offscreen excerpts from the books by Igor Yarkevich. This mixture of old and new gives you a thrill of inimitable sensations.


When: from February 10 to  May 31, 2018.

      Where: Artplay Media at the address 10, Nizhnyaya Syromyatnicheskaya Street, next to Kurskaya and Chkalovskaya metro stations, Moscow.
