Sberbank and the Higher School of Economics (HSE) have launched a corporate accelerator for employees. The project aims to create start-ups in the area of e-medicine, education, fintech, leisure, e-commerce, business services, new technology, and other areas of digital business that will be part of the bank’s ecosystem.
Applications to participate in the accelerator will be accepted until 28 March. This will be followed by an intensive period of study for the participants. The study programme will be divided into two main stages: a four-week pre-accelerator and a seven-week accelerator with an intermediate selection stage.
The main objective of the first stage is to confirm the hypothesis of the value of the business ideas, whilst the second will involve the development of minimum viable products. Throughout the programme experienced businesspeople will support the teams as mentors and experts, providing advice and offering assistance in formulating tasks and goals.
The teams behind the top projects will present their prototypes to an expert board, which will be membered by Sberbank senior executives, specialists from the HSE business incubator, and industry experts. Sberbank will invest in the start-ups that the board approves and integrate them into its ecosystem.
