Renowned Actor Oleg Tabakov Passed Away

The People's Artist of the USSR, Art Director of the Moscow Chekhov Art Theater and Tabakerka, Oleg Tabakov died in Moscow. The outstanding Russian actor passed away at the age of 82, after a severe long illness.

The farewell ceremony will take place in the Moscow Art Theater. Its date will be announced later. "In connection with such a terrible loss for us - the demise of Oleg Tabakov - all the performances are canceled in the theater today," the press service of the theatre announced.

Oleg Tabakov was hospitalised in Moscow at the end of November. Later the news was reported about artificial ventilation of his lungs, despite the improvement of his health condition before the New Year.
