Siberian Scientists to Develop Software for Managing Robots in Large Enterprises

Such solutions are mainly in demand in the automotive, aircraft and shipbuilding industries.

Scientists at the Tomsk Polytechnic University intend to create an unified system for administering industrial robots of different manufacturers. That will reduce the companies' costs and simplify the modernization of robotic complexes, as the project manager Sergei Mikhalevich, assistant professor of Automation and Robotics Department at the University said.

"This system will enable us to promptly manage the robots and get the necessary data from them. We plan to create such a hardware and software complex and bring it to the market in the next two years ", - Prof. Mikhalevich explained.
