Another Museum of Fyodor Dostoevsky Will Appear in Moscow
Fyodor Dostoevsky

The museum opening will be timed to the 200th anniversary since the birth of the famous Russian classic. In the capital city of Russia, there will be a new museum dedicated to writer Fyodor Dostoyevsky. The author was born in Moscow, and spent several years of childhood and adolescence here. Most of his life and creativity is connected with St. Petersburg. Nevertheless, the Ministry of Culture found it necessary to perpetuate Dostoevsky's memory in Moscow. It is known that the museum will open for the 200th anniversary since the writer's birth, which will be celebrated in 2021. The building for the future museum has already been found. It is not specified yet where the site is located, but it is known that this is a "historical place". It should be noted that Moscow has a museum-apartment of Fyodor Dostoevsky, in the house where he was born.
