233 thousand Russian citizens visited Georgia in January-March 2018, which is 25.5% more than during the same period of last year, as the Head of the National Tourism Administration Georgii Chogovadze stated at a briefing on Tuesday.
According to him, the number of Russians who visited Georgia in March increased by 37%, as compared to March 2017, up to 91.5 thousand people, which has been a record indicator for the first month of spring over the past 12 years. In terms of the number of people who visited Georgia, Russia ranks fourth after Azerbaijan, Armenia and Turkey. A positive trend in the inflow of tourists is also recorded for Israel, Great Britain, China, Iran, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, India, the USA, France and other countries.
