Resonant Canvases. Renoir - Impressionism, Sax and Organ at Moscow Cathedral

On April 14, paintings by the great impressionist will be projected inside St. Peter and Paul Cathedral to live music of eight saxophones and organ. The paintings by Auguste Renoir are imbued with light and vibrant colors. Graceful, gentle ladies in his canvases, enveloped in light and air, remain delightful and fascinating to this day.

In this concert, the time tested masterpieces of Renoir will go hand in hand with unsteady and floaty images of sand animation, blending one into another. This unique show will flow with the music of Bach, Marcello, Mozart, Singel and Zhigu performed by two organs and two saxophone quartets, male and female ones.
