Writers Alexey Salnikov and Anna Starobinets have made it into the final contest of the literary award "National Bestseller". The names of writers on the award shortlist were announced at a press conference on Tuesday.

      These are five writers: Aleksey Salnikov ("The Petrovs In and Around the Flu"), Vasily Aksenov ("It Would be Daughter Anastasia"), Maria Labych ("Bitch"), Anna Starobinets ("Look at Him"), and Dmitry Petrovsky ("Darling, I'm Home").

      The Russian literary prize "National Bestseller" has been awarded since 2001. The long list of this season included more than 60 writers. The winner will get a monetary prize of 1 million rubles. Each of the five finalists will receive 60 thousand rubles.
