The final of the Eurovision Song Contest will be held without a representative of Russia.

      The performance of Russian singer Julia Samoilova has not gained enough votes of the audience and the jury to enter the final stage of the show.

      This year, for the first time since 2004, when the semifinals were introduced, Russia has failed to make it into the final of the Eurovision.

      Julia Samoilova performed in the second semifinal on Thursday, May 10. She sang the song “I Won’t Break”.

      Representatives of 18 countries fought for the finals last night. Singers from Serbia, Moldova, Hungary, Sweden, Australia, Denmark, Norway , Ukraine, Denmark, Slovenia and the Netherlands have got into the final.
