Quality of Life and Ensuring Active Longevity to be Discussed at the SPIEF 2018

The topic of enhancing quality of life and ensuring active longevity was included in the new May Decrees of the President of Russia. In this regard, facilitating conditions for inclusion of the elderly, provision of quality care and ensuring a dignified life for terminally ill people are of paramount importance.

      The following issues will be discussed at the SPIEF 2018:

What should an effective long-term care system be like?

What should be done to launch implementation of the priority palliative care project?

What is the right way for proper integration of the efforts of the state, businesses and society to find a solution for the most important social problems?

What novel financial instruments can be employed?

The session will be moderated by famous anchor and journalist Vladimir Pozner.

      The discussion will be attended by Maxim Topilin, Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Russian Federation; Tatiana Yakovleva, Deputy Healthcare Minister of the Russian Federation; Robert Twycross, Professor of Oxford University, Founder of The Association for Palliative Medicine of Great Britain and Ireland; Nyuta Federmesser, Head of the Moscow Multidisciplinary Center for Palliative Care of the Moscow Healthcare Department; Svetlana Chupsheva, Chief Executive Officer of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives; Svetlana Yachevskaya, Deputy Chairman of the Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank) and other participants.
