The First Cooking Contest will be Held in Kursk Oblast

 The first cooking contest will be held in Kursk Oblast, it will present the dishes to be included into the gastronomic map of the region. Thus, the gastronomic map will include favorite dishes of the famous people of the region, for example, Afanasii Fet. The poet who lived in a manor in the village of Vorobyevka in Zolotukhinsky district loved fish broth, meat, kvass, and soused apples.

      The participants will also cook a Kursk-style goose, a pie with fish filling, a pea starch drink, “Zapovedny” curative gingerbread baked on the basis of curative herbs growing in Streletskaya steppe. A total of more than 30 dishes from 28 districts and 5 city districts of the region will be presented at the contest.
