The Bank of Russia Started Issuing 100 Rouble Notes Timed to the World Cup 2018

Beginning from May 22, the Bank of Russia started issuing 100 rouble notes timed to the World Cup 2018, as the First Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank Olga Skorobogatova said at a press conference on Tuesday. “The bank note is made on a polymer basis. For the first time we used the new technology which is really based on a polymer, it proved to be good, and we will use this technology to update banknotes later”, Skorobogatova said.

      According to the materials of the Central Bank, the circulation of the new bank note makes up 20.4 million pieces.
