The winners of the State Prize in Literature and Art, Science and Technology were announced in the Kremlin on the cusp of June 12, the Day of Russia.

      The Presidium of the Science Council of the Russian Federation has chosen to award Academician Mikhail Alfimov and Corresponding Members of the Russian Academy of Sciences Sergei Gromov and Alexander Chibisov. They will be awarded for their studies in supramolecular chemistry: the research dwells on the interaction of complementary molecules and their fragments. Academician Ivan Dedov is going to get the State Prize for a series of works on fundamental endocrinology and the introduction of an innovative model of personalized medicine in health care.

      Yevgeny Rogayev, the head of Evolutionary Genomics Laboratory of the Vavilov Institute of General Genetics, RAS, is awarded for the discovery of genes and molecular genetic mechanisms responsible for hereditary human diseases.

      The monetary award makes 5 million rubles. The winners will receive their prizes in the Moscow Kremlin on June 12.
