Academician Sergei Alekseenko (Russia) and Professor Martin Green (Australia) have become the winners of the international Global Energy Prize 2018.
Sergey Alekseenko, a member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, was awarded for devising the thermo physics foundations for the development of modern energy and energy saving technologies and their application in the modernization of power plants, waste processing enterprises, as well as for the development of the concept of cooling various systems, from powerful computing to nuclear power plants.
Professor Martin Green got the prize for research and educational activities in the field of photovoltaic energy.
In 2017-2018, 44 scientists from 14 countries were nominated for the award. Elon Musk, the head of the Tesla Inc. made it into the Short List of the Global Energy Prize 2018.
