The Small Towns of Krapivna and Chekalin in Tula Oblast will Form a Part of a Single Tourist Route

The small towns of Krapivna and Chekalin in Tula Oblast will form a part of a single tourist route as the beginning of the creation of the Great Defense Fortifications System dedicated to celebration of the 500th anniversary of the construction of the Tula Kremlin, as the press service of the regional government reported.

The objects of reconstruction in Chekalin include the wall of the Likhvin fortress on the Sobornaya Hill with the installation of observation towers. A number of other constructions will also be turned into museums; handicraft workshops, souvenir shops and other facilities for recreation of citizens and guests will be built.

The project of the village of Krapivna suggests a comprehensive improvement of a number of objects and public areas connected by a main pedestrian route in the historic centre.
