The 6^th Cherry Orchard theatre festival held in New York facilitates mutual understanding between Russians and Americans. This was stated in the welcoming speech of the Russian Ambassador to the United States, Anatoly Antonov, to the visitors and organizers of the forum.

      "We consider such events to be very important, since they enable us to show the diversity of Russian culture to Americans, find common ground through art and promote mutual understanding between our peoples," – the ambassador emphasized.

      Anatoly Antonov also stated that this year the "key event of the program" would be the performances of the Theater of Nations.

      The tour of the Russian theatre troupes took place in the framework of the festival from June 14 to June 17.
