Hoteliers of major cities that host the World Cup, began to reduce prices due to underload.

"Hotels in major Russian cities - Moscow, St. Petersburg and Kazan, did not receive the planned download during the World Cup 2018, so some of them began to reduce prices, on average, the cost of accommodation in major tourist cities in Russia is now 40% higher than a year ago, but tour operators are already seeing a tendency to prices going down: in particular, special offers began to appear in St. Petersburg on the reduction of tariffs for accommodation in the first two weeks of July," the association of tour operators notices.

Prices for accommodation in Moscow and other cities popular among tourists will return to the low season level after the World Cup 2018.

The demand for sightseeing tours around Russia during the World Cup 2018 is still lower than last year. Tourists refuse to book tours for a number of reasons, including fears of being in the crowd of fans and the experience of rising prices for travel services during the World Cup. The demand is predicted to go up after FIFA 2018.
