The State Duma has adopted the law on the extension of the possibility of entry of foreigners through the air harbors of all regions of the Far Eastern Federal District by electronic visas in the third and final reading. Now this rule applies to the free port of Vladivostok.
Using such an electronic visa, a foreigner can enter the country for eight days and visit only the region into which he/she entered. The foreigner will also have to leave through the same airport, through which he/she entered.
There are currently nine air checkpoints on the territory of the Far Eastern Federal District: Anadyr (Ugolny), Blagoveshchensk, Vladivostok (Knevichi), Magadan (Sokol), Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (Elizovo), Provideniya Bay, Khabarovsk (Noviy), Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk (Khomutovo), Yakutsk. in addition to the Vladivostok (Knevichi) air checkpoint already working with electronic visas, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (Yelizovo), Blagoveshchensk, Khabarovsk (Noviy) and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk (Khomutovo) are technically equipped for this purpose, as the explanatory note to the bill says.
