Russia earned over 850 billion rubles at the World Cup 2018.


      
Holding the World Football Championship in 2018 brought to the Russian budget more than 850 billion rubles, the executive director of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) Maya Lomidze told journalists on Wednesday. "It brought Russia more than 850 billion rubles, which is about 1% of GDP."

      Lomidze also noted that in the cities hosting the World Cup 2018 the tourist flow increased significantly during the tournament. About 700 thousand foreign fans came to Russia at the World Cup 2018.  The organization of the championship was highly appreciated by foreign guests.
