The “Days of Harvest” festival will be held on July 21 at the Pesochnoye farmstead of Medvensky district of Kursk Oblast. The guests of the festival will get acquainted with harvesting tools for, will be told how the tools are prepared, will be shown the way mowing, threshing, and grain ventilating take place.

Besides, everyone will be able to personally participate in the harvesting process: from mowing to baking bread and cooking koliva (boiled rice with raisins) in the oven. The whole process of harvesting bread will be done manually. The festival will be accompanied by folklore songs. “The event is aimed at preserving and passing on the traditions of Russian culture, Russian village, especially harvesting traditions”, as the message said.
