Stolby Reserve is Closed for Visitors

The management of the “Stolby” reserve decided to close the protected natural territory for tourists because of the frequent tourists’ encounters with bears. In order to ensure the safety of visitors of the reserve, the “Stolby” reserve is closed for free access.

“The checkpoint at the Laletino cordon works in a strict admission mode, some planned activities are also canceled, including those involving children. The visitors are asked to be sympathetic to the safety measures taken. Earlier it was reported that 11 cases of tourists’ encounters with bears had been recorded in the reserve since the beginning of July.
