The world of Ancient Greece, Rome and Byzantium with its legends and myths, gods and rulers, life and trade is displayed at the Museum of the International Numismatic Club.
Ancient Greece was not a centralized country. Numerous city-states were located from the shores of the Black Sea to Spain. Often they fought each other, but the trade was a unifying principle and guarantee of their existence. Coins of precious metals became a universal instrument of trade.
Visitors of the exhibition will see unique rare specimen of coins of Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome and the Byzantine Empire starting from the 6th century BC. The exhibits can tell a lot of fascinating stories and legends about gods and rulers, the way of life, culture of the past, and even about nature.
