Kazan has Received a Lee Kuan Yew Prize

Kazan has received a Lee Kuan Yew Prize - a prestigious international award in the field of urban development - at the World Summit of Cities in Singapore, as the press service of the Mayor’s Office of Kazan reported. “By decision of the council of the award, the capital of Tatarstan was chosen for special mention”, as the press release said. It is also noted that awarding this prize to Kazan  means the  recognition of the city by the world urban community, because expert assessment is given by experts from different countries, in particular, the jury is represented by the experts from Sweden, Denmark, Singapore, New Zealand and China.

By the way, the final assessment of the jury noted in that Kazan is a city of all kinds of cultures respecting its ethnic and religious diversity, having a good urban development and rich heritage and culture, so it can become a “strong” and “special” city in the future.
