The length of Moscow ground and underground metro will be substantially extended, amounting to about one thousand kilometers, as the Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said during a joint inspection of the largest transport interchange node (TIN) – “Ryazanskaya”, the inspection was held together with the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Yevgeny Dietrich and the Head of Russian Railways Oleg Belozerov. In the coming years, the length of the metro will grow almost three times, as Sobyanin said.

      “New radial directions of the railway and trunks are being built, a project of Moscow Central Diameters (MCDs) is being created, as a result, the length of Moscow ground and underground metro will amount to one thousand kilometers, that is, it will be almost three times longer than the metro system created in 2010”, the mayor stated.
