The building of the Winter Hotel of the Stauropegic Valaam Monastery of the Transfiguration of the Saviour will be commissioned in 2019, as Patriarch Kirill said on Tuesday during a meeting of the board of guardians for the restoration of the monastery.

      “The topical question of our meeting is the restoration of the Winter Hotel after the fire. Two years have passed after this sad event, and restoration work is in full swing. It is expected that the restoration will be completed in the third quarter of 2019”, as the Patriarch said. Patriarch Kirill noted that the restoration of the building has become possible due to the inclusion of the project into a target program.
