An interest of tourists in souvenirs made by local craftsmen has been observed in Nizhny Novgorod during the Football World Cup.

      Book Tours to Russia

      During the days of the influx of fans 3.5 thousand matryoshka dolls have been sold:  this is 10 times more than during previous periods. At the same time, the average price of a matryoshka amounted to about 300 roubles, and the average purchase size in souvenir shops made up over 2 thousand roubles during the days of the championship. Besides, according to D.Svatkovsky, a great interest was caused by the products with Khokhloma painting containing the symbols of FIFA.
