The Consulate General of Great Britain will stop working in St. Petersburg before August 1. The consulate has not been functioning in a full mode for a while by now, the most part of the operational activities will be completed soon.
July 31 is the last day of the operation of the consulate. In mid-April the diplomatic mission reported that the Russian Foreign Ministry ordered the British Consulate General in St. Petersburg to finish its work before August 1. The diplomatic mission noted that visa-related issues had long been solved through the visa centre in St. Petersburg, whereas the Consulate General continued to work on other issues.
