The Fan Zone of the World Cup at the Konyushennaya Square (St. Petersburg) was visited by 1.3 million fans during the championship, which ranked second after Moscow, as the press service of the Tourism Development Committee of St. Petersburg reported on Monday.

Thus, the number of guests of the official fan zone in the centre of Moscow made up 1.87 million people, in St. Petersburg - 1.3 million people, in Kazan - 738 thousand people. These are followed by Nizhny Novgorod, Samara and Volgograd with 600 thousand fans each.

The least visited fan zone was that in Ekaterinburg - it was visited only by 310 thousand guests.
A total of 7.7 million people visited the festival of fans in 11 cities of Russia during the World Cup 2018, which is 2.5 million more than at the World Cup in 2014 in Brazil, as the press service stressed.
