In August, the Tsaritsyno museum-estate in Moscow has launched an open-air festival dedicated to the history of Russian summer residence traditions.
“Dacha Tsaritsyno 2018” festival presents daily events, including numerous theatricals, children's performances, concerts, various master classes, and many others.
You will get acquainted with Tsaritsyno as the most favorite and affordable summer residence of Moscow of the late 19th – early 20th century.
At various times, famous Russian people, namely Vladimir Soloviev, Fyodor Tyutchev, Leonid Andreev, Ivan Bunin, Alexander Bely, Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Lev Sobinov, Konstantin Korovin, and many other figures of Russian art and literature liked to stay here.
The festival will be an excellent opportunity to experience all the delights of the country life of the early 20th century, get to know the Russian dacha traditions and just relax on the green lawn in the shadow of centuries-old linden trees. Participation is free for all comers.
