The festival of traditional cuisine of the peoples of the South Urals will for the first time be held at the “Arkaim” Reserve (Chelyabinsk Oblast) on August 18, according to the web site of the reserve.

      The initiators of the event who united several traditional holidays - Savior of the Apple, Savior of the Honey and Savior of the Bread Feast Days - were the participants of the “Living History” project. The festival will be held next to the Cossack Manor, the audience will see various performances from the life of the local Cossacks of XVIII-XIX centuries.

      The interactive platform will feature battle scenes with the use of historical costumes and weapons, workshops will be held there, those who wish will be able to make photos being dressed in authentic costumes in a stylized Cossack hut. During the same festival a fair with the participation of craftsmen from all over the region and tastings of traditional dishes will be also held.
