Custodian of Lost Treasures of the Hermitage Died During Check-Up

The overall cost of the exhibits lost from the Hermitage museum is valued at 130 million rubles.
      A planned inner check-up of the museum exhibits has revealed disappearance of 221 articles, the museum official site informs.
      At the very beginning of the check-up the custodian of most of the lost exhibits suddenly died.
      The check-up in the Hermitage is regularly carried out according to the schedule confirmed by the Ministry of Culture. The results are submitted to the Federal Agency On Culture and Cinema.
      The press-service emphasizes that the museum staff is undoubtedly involved in the loss of the exhibits.
