Turkey and Russia are discussing the possibility of abolishing the visa regime, as the Anadolu news agency quotes the words of the Head of the Turkish Foreign Ministry Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.
“We support (the idea) of our citizens visiting Russia without any visa problems, we are working in this direction”, as Çavuşoğlu said. “We have reached a principled agreement with Russia on the abolition of visas for holders of official passports, our entrepreneurs, in particular, truck drivers”, he said.
Now Russia and Turkey have a unilateral visa-free regime - Russians can travel to Turkey without visas, and Turkish citizens must obtain Russian visas.
