In the first half of 2018 online trade in Moscow grew by 17 percent, exceeding the growth rate of Moscow’s trade turnover more than two times, according to the Department of Economic Policy and Development of Moscow.
“The rate growth of trade via the Internet exceeded 35 percent in the first half of the year. The total turnover of online trade in Moscow amounted to 74 billion roubles for the six months of this year”, as the Head of the department Vladimir Efimov said.
Efimov also noted that the active growth of online trade in Moscow is one of the indicators of the leadership of the Russian capital in the field of online services.
