The sixth Consulate General of China in Russia has officially opened in Kazan.

      “The heads of states of China and Russia have reached a consensus on increasing the number of consular institutions back in 2015. The Consulate of China in Kazan became the sixth Consulate General created by China in Russia”, as the Chinese Ambassador to Russia Li Hui said at the ceremony. He also noted that the Chinese-Russian relations “are experiencing the best period in their history”.

      The Consulate in Kazan serves all the regions of the Volga Federal District. Currently, the Consulates General of China are also working in St. Petersburg, Khabarovsk, Yekaterinburg, Irkutsk and Vladivostok.
